Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who help the Alzheimer’s Association provide consumer education. These volunteers deliver prepared presentations on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
How long have you been a volunteer with Alzheimer’s Association? I have volunteered for six months.
Why do you volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association? I believe in Alzheimer’s Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and want to make that come true.
What is most rewarding about volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association? Talking to people about their loved ones.
Do you volunteer in honor of a loved one who has been affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia? Yes, my mother, Betty.
