The Dayton Walk to End Alzheimer’s committee is excited about making this year’s walk one of the biggest and most successful. The committee – 40 volunteers strong – is reaching out to past Walk teams and recruiting new Walk teams to encourage people to sign up now and start their fundraising activities.
On March 19, the conference room at the Alzheimer’s Association was packed and filled with high energy as the committee went through orientation. Eric VanVlymen, Executive Director of Region 10 and of the Miami Valley Alzheimer’s Chapter, spoke to the group about the urgency behind the organization’s mission to help all affected and to find a cure.
Check out this video of the group as they ask the public to join in and work to find a cure to Alzheimer’s disease. To join the committee, contact Kelly Smith, klsmith@alz.org, 937.610.7014.
