As many of you know, the Dayton Walk to End Alzheimer’s is this Saturday, Oct. 7, and we need your help!

Did you know that the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is our largest fundraising event and the impact of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in the Miami Valley and across the country allows us to raise necessary funds for care, support and research.

If you haven’t signed up for a team, or signed up your own team, go to alz.org/walk and sign-up today. If you have already registered, maybe it’s time to do one last push through the mail, email or social media to ask the people you know to make an investment in a cause that will one day affect us all.  When people walk they carry a color flower that symbolizes their connection to the disease whether it’s caregiver, support or living with dementia.  This year we have only one white flower symbolizing the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.

When we band together to fight Alzheimer’s, a few things happen:
– We show how serious we are about seeing a world without Alzheimer’s.
– We are able to serve more people in our local community as we enhance care and support for ALL affected by the disease.
– We can better promote brain health as we shine a light on the tips and tools that can lower the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
– Through the advancement of research, we come closer to seeing our first survivor and raising the white flower.
So, why do you Walk and what will inspire you this year to take your participation to the next level as we seek to raise money, awareness and the white flower?
We look forward to seeing you at Fifth Third Field on October 7. Together we will #endalz!  Register at alz.org/walk today.
