Volunteer James Madden makes a difference with Early Stage Program

James Madden is a volunteer with the Early Stage Movie Monday program and has been a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association for two years. He volunteers to give back, serve and to help end this horrible disease. James volunteers in honor of Delores Madden. 
When asked what is most rewarding about volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association? James said, “the incredible people I have met.”

The Miami Valley Chapter is gearing up for our 2020 Early Stage programs including our Movie Monday and Memory Cafe. These programs offer a fun and comfortable way for people living in the early-stage of Alzheimer’s or other dementia and their care partners to get out, get active and get connected with one another through a variety of social events and community-based activities.
Movie Monday: Join the Alzheimer’s Association Miami Valley Chapter for Movie Monday at 10 Wilmington Place. A movie will be shown in a 22-seat state-of-the-art theatre.
Memory Cafe: Dayton Metro Library partners with the Alzheimer’s Association Miami Valley Chapter. Different speakers will be scheduled each month to present on various topics such as chair yoga, local history, music therapy, art, nutrition and more.
An initial interview is required for Early Stage programs.
