For the second year in a row, the Dayton Business Journal has singled out the Walk to End Alzheimer’s® as one of the Miami Valley’s most successful non-profit events. Last year, 4,500 people participated in the five regional walks raising $767,671 for more Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The Walks, which are held in Dayton, Springfield, Troy, Greenville and Sidney, are a great way for individuals to join the mission to find a cure. Starting a Walk Team is easy and it gives you a way for family and friends to help you support our Vision – A World Without Alzheimer’s Disease.®

The need is great. In the Miami Valley, 30,000 people have Alzheimer’s and an additional 90,000 people serve as caregivers. Alzheimer’s disease is a fatal brain disease that cannot be prevented, cured or slowed. It kills more people than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined.
