Why we walk
We’re walking to help reclaim the future for millions. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the Alzheimer’s Association signature event that helps raise both awareness and funds for Alzheimers’ research, care and support. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s or dementia and that number is expected to grow exponentially.
My walk team consists of family and friends that are banding together to help find a cure for this terrible disease. We walk in memory of my loving husband, Ed Lentz, who we lost this year. It is sad to watch a loved one and care partner endure this disease together.
Greenville Walk to End Alzheimer’s
I invite you to join us at this year’s Greenville Walk to End Alzheimer’s taking place on Saturday, September 30 at the Greenville Park. The short walk is a great way to celebrate the steps that the Alzheimer’s Association has taken in advancing research and providing local care and support services. It is also a great way to honor those you love and remember those who we have lost. Register today at alz.org/walk or by contacting Maire Reynolds, Walk Coordinator, at 937-610-7006 or mareynolds@alz.org.
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer’s disease starts with you!
