Meet Máire Reynolds

How long hysu-gradave you been working for the Alzheimer’s Association?

My first day was January 9, 2017.

What is your professional background?

I most recently worked at the Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina chapter as their Event Coordinator.  There I was responsible for coordinating the logistics and volunteers for both their fundraising and educational events.  Prior to that, I was at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and was both an intern and then the Leukemia Cup Regatta Coordinator.

Why are you drawn to the Alzheimer’s cause?

I lost my grandfather in 2011 after a slow decline due to Alzheimer’s. Because of this, I am passionate about being a part of the organization that helps rid the world of Alzheimer’s.

What has been your favorite thing so far about working for the Alzheimer’s Association?

I love being able to work with so many passionate people, and everyone that I’ve met so far has been great and inspirational to be around.

What are you most looking forward to while working for the Miami Valley Chapter? If you could give one piece of advice to families affected by Alzheimer’s, what would it be?

I really am looking forward to working with the friends and families of the organization.  They are the heartbeat of the organization and I am honored to be a part of the Miami Valley family.

One piece of advice that I would give families is to cherish every moment good or bad.

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

I love all things Irish and enjoy going to various Irish festivals and dance competitions.

Anything else you want us to know about you?

Give me a call or shoot me an email if you have any questions, I look forward to meeting everyone!

Meet Jennifer Snedigar

jsnedigarHow long have you been working for the Alzheimer’s Association?

As of Monday, December 12, I joined the Alzheimer’s Association at the Miami Valley Chapter.
What is your professional background?
I most recently left the Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts. Prior to joining the Boy Scouts, I worked with the American Red Cross in Cincinnati as well as American Heart Association. In those roles I managed many different special events and worked to cultivate donor and sponsor relationships. My background includes event, database and volunteer management as well as marketing and public relations experience.
What are you most looking forward to while working for the Miami Valley Chapter?
I am looking forward to meeting with each member of the Reason To Hope Committee over the next few weeks. With the many great connections the committee has for both tables and sponsorship, the Reason To Hope 2017 event should be on its way to making an impact.

Anything else you want us to know about you?

Again, I will be reaching out to each committee member to take a minute to introduce myself after the holidays. Talk to each of you soon!
